Health and Safety
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants, please take note of the following health and safety guidelines:
Terrain and Weather Conditions
-
Rough and Slippery Terrain:
Our tours involve walking on uneven terrain, which can be rough and, after rain, quite slippery. Please be cautious and mindful of your footing. Enclosed shoes are mandatory for your safety—visitors without appropriate footwear will be turned away and not allowed to proceed with the tour. No refunds will be issued if you are turned away for wearing unacceptable shoes. -
Severe Weather Policy:
We strive to hold our tours as scheduled, but in cases of severe weather predictions, particularly high winds, we may need to reschedule or reroute the tour for safety reasons. Since we are in a forest, windy conditions can make it dangerous to walk under large trees. If rescheduling is required, we will notify you as early as possible. -
Rain and Hot Weather:
Tours will continue in light rain, and we recommend bringing raincoats or umbrellas. However, if heavy rain or extreme heat is forecasted, we may need to reschedule the tour. Please note that while parts of the tour are shaded, not all areas are covered, so an umbrella can provide extra protection on hot days.
Fitness Requirements
-
Introductory Farm Tour:
This tour is suitable for beginner to moderate fitness levels and is ideal for families with children. While the terrain can be rough, it is relatively easy to navigate. Children are welcome, but they must always be under the supervision of their parent or guardian. Please note, this is a working farm with various safety risks, including animals, equipment, and uneven terrain, so close supervision of children is essential at all times. -
Full Farm Tour:
The full farm tour is a four-hour, in-depth experience that requires a higher level of fitness. This tour includes walking down the hillside through all swales and animal areas, and participants must be prepared to walk back up the hill at the end. It is not recommended for young children due to the tour’s length and physical demands.
Footwear, Clothing, and Hydration
-
Mandatory Enclosed Shoes:
For safety reasons, all participants (including children) must wear enclosed shoes suitable for walking on rough, uneven ground. Visitors who arrive without appropriate footwear will not be allowed to participate in the tour, and no refunds will be given in such cases. -
Recommended Clothing:
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing, bringing a hat for sun protection, and dressing in layers depending on the weather. -
Bring Water:
Please bring sufficient water to stay hydrated throughout the tour, especially on warmer days.
Animals and Equipment:
-
For your safety and the safety of our animals, please do not touch or feed the animals unless instructed by your guide. Avoid interacting with farm equipment or tools, which are in use and can pose safety hazards.
Cleanliness and Waste
-
No Littering:
Please help us maintain the beauty of our farm by disposing of any trash or recycling in the bins provided. We strive to create a sustainable environment, and your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
Footwear and Attire
-
Appropriate Footwear:
As previously mentioned, all visitors must wear enclosed shoes suitable for walking on uneven ground. Visitors without the proper footwear will not be allowed to proceed with the tour, and no refunds will be issued.
Behavior Expectations
-
Respectful Conduct:
We ask all visitors to be considerate of others on the tour, including following the guide's instructions and maintaining a respectful attitude toward fellow visitors, staff, and animals.
Personal Belongings
-
Carry Valuables at Your Own Risk:
The farm is a natural environment, and we recommend keeping personal belongings safe. We are not responsible for lost or damaged items during the tour.
Pets and Other Animals
To maintain the safety and integrity of our farm environment, we have established the following policy regarding pets and animals:
-
No Pets Allowed:
For quarantine and safety purposes, we do not allow pets or other animals on our farm. This policy helps us protect our crops, livestock, and visitors. -
Service Animals:
Service animals are welcome on the farm as an exception to this policy. However, they must remain restrained and under the control of their owner at all times. Please inform us in advance if you will be bringing a service animal.

Product Purchases and Refreshments
At the conclusion of your tour, we invite you to relax and enjoy light refreshments while exploring the unique products available for purchase from our farm. Here’s what you can expect:

Arrival on Tour Date
To ensure a smooth and timely start to your experience, we kindly ask that all visitors adhere to the following arrival guidelines:
-
Arrive Early:
Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time of your tour. This allows you to check in, get settled, and enjoy a brief moment to prepare for your adventure. -
Timeliness:
We will not hold up the tour waiting for late arrivals, as it is important to maintain our schedule and respect the time of all participants. Late arrivals may miss important introductory information and will not be allowed to join the tour once it has commenced. -

Follow the signs to the designated parking area upon arrival. Please park in the designated spots to ensure safety and accessibility for all visitors.
